A brief bio on Victoria... Victoria Kasten, age seventeen, wrote her first Mighty Stallion book at age twelve. She currently has 5 Mighty Stallion Books available. (She hopes to make the Mighty Stallion stories into a 10-book series.) She also released IronHeart, her first full length (314 pgs) non-magical fantasy in late 2007. The Iron Spear was released in March of 2009.Victoria recently returned from her first national book tours ... Driving 4800 miles in 15 days, she visited Harrisburg, PA and San Antonio, TX with some stops in between. She met many wonderful people and sold hundreds of books along the way. She also had the opportunity to visit Gettysburg and the Nat'l Civil War Museum to do research for her upcoming Mighty Stallion 6 book. In July, she headed for Atlanta, GA where she was a vendor/speaker. Another great trip with enjoyable stops in Ohio and Kentucky. Victoria had two poems published in a nationally circulated newspaper at Age 11. Her first published book, Mighty Stallion, was released in November of 2005. Victoria's first magazine article appeared in the 2006 Winter issue of American Livestock Magazine. American Livestock also published a poem of Victoria's in the Spring 2007 issue. Since that time Victoria has participated in many events and book signings. She has been the subject of newspaper articles - including front page features - for Bluff Country Reader, Rochester Post Bulletin, Northfield News, Lonsdale Review, Spring Valley Tribune, Mankato Free press and others. She has also been interviewed by many radio stations and magazines. (Watch for the newest articles on Victoria to appear in Woman, Inc and MN Parent magazines in their June 2008 issues.) She has also been the guest of Medford, Montgomery/Lonsdale, LeCenter and St Peter Schools and many libraries, sharing the story of her writing experiences with hundreds of additional school children. Victoria has been the guest author of the Northfield Historical Society for Jesse James Days and Winter Walk. She was also asked to be a VIP for the MN Academic All-Stars program in 2007.
